Welcome to My Blog: Where Fitness Meets Finance
This is a project I’ve wanted to start for some time—a place where I can bring together two major parts of my life: fitness and finance. At first, they might seem like completely different worlds, but the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realized how much they have in common. Both require consistency, discipline, and the ability to adapt when life doesn’t go as planned.

About Me
A little about me: I’m in my early 40s, I’ve been working in credit risk management in community banking since 2005. and the past couple of years have been full of challenges. I’ve had two knee surgeries—the first in May 2023 and the second in July 2023—to repair a torn patellar tendon. Recovery has been a long road, and just as I was starting to make progress, Hurricane Helene destroyed my regular gym last October. Losing that space made it even harder to stay consistent with my fitness goals.
Through it all, I’ve realized that fitness, like managing your finances, is all about adjusting to the unexpected while keeping your long-term goals in mind. Whether it’s figuring out how to stay active without a gym or budgeting for medical expenses, the principles of setting priorities and staying the course apply to both areas of life.
This blog is my way of holding myself accountable. I’ll be sharing my progress and challenges as I rebuild—not just physically, but also mentally and financially.
